As we have witnessed already this year in areas of the south, We are in the thick of Severe Weather Season. This is also the beginning of Camping season as many people are first now getting their campers out of storage, as is the case in northern states due to a seemingly an unending winter season.
I wanted to remind everyone again, to be thinking about the weather as you are planning your destinations this spring. Have plans to seek safe shelter already made, in the event of an incident.
We, as campers, should get in the habit of at least knowing the weather forecasts during our stays or adventures.
Everyone should have a weather radio in their camper, this will alert you of impending weather situations.
Know where the nearest storm shelter is at your campground.
These things will save your life or keep you from being injured while out and about.
I would recommend studying the National Weather Service website for more details on how to protect yourself and your family this Severe Weather Season.
