The Mark Ziegler Trail, Part of Corridor 27 is Located between intersection 14 and intersection 15 in Central Clark County, In West-Central Wisconsin. This trail has been a long-time favorite and in this article, I explain why I keep returning to this epic trail…
The Mark Ziegler Trail offers a range of terrain, from flat to hilly, nothing dangerous by any stretch of the imagination but an exciting trail riding experience especially heading northbound and one that must be experienced.
This trail is one I keep coming back to again and again is great for different reasons, mainly no one really knows about it or they bypass it. Which makes it a bit safer due to lower traffic.
The trail is beautiful, as you can see in the videos below, offering long, sweeping curves and hilly straight-aways. As mentioned, no one really travels this route, opting for the “Main forest road”, which is Bachelors Avenue to the west.
The trail is roughly 5 miles long, so it won’t take long to get through it.
There is nothing really to stop at along this section of trail, and I wouldn’t recommend stopping along this trail anyway, it’s too curvy, unsafe to stop along the trail. You can stop and take a break at either end of the trail.
Another recommendation is to travel this route north-bound, it’s the same route south-bound but it’s just a lot better traveling north bound.

As with most trails in Clark County, be alert for horse-traffic as there are several horse-riding trails that cross the ohv trails.
Different experience from past years…
Several areas along this route have trees that have been harvested by the Clark County Forestry Department and offer a different view of the trails from past years. Opening the view on either side of the trail for quite some distance into what used to be the dense woods.
