Example of how not to leave the wash station once finished… [/caption]
This is an issue I have run into time and time again. People leave the hose at an ATV Wash Station in the wrong position, which you can see in this photo. The previous user of this Wash Station, left the hose wrapped up in such a way, that left the top of the hose (which is basically a spring) facing where an ATV enters the wash station.
This can leave the hose that is dangling down in the path of the entering ATV and could damage the hose, or if the user is trying to leave and doesn’t notice it, the hose can become tangled or snagged on the exiting ATV.
Please don’t leave the wash station hose like this, I saw this and wanted to show you how to leave the wash station when your done.

Simply wrap the hose around the base of the wash station so that the spring points straight up and down, sometimes these wash stations have a mount to place the hose so that this happens automatically but more often than not, you’ll have to preform this solution to make this spring face straight up and down.
Put the hose off of the concrete like pictured here, if there is no dedicated place to hook the spigot to.

Also, I wanted to mention, that once your finished cleaning your machine, please use the water to flush off the concrete pad so that you are not stepping in mud or so that the next person doesn’t have to walk through the mud in order to wash their machines.
