This is interesting stop along the trails of Florence County. The Pine Hydroelectric Dam is one of 13 Hydroelectric Dams that WE Energies operates and was constructed in 1922 and provides a maximum of 3600 Kilowatts.
You are able to walk to the dam and Breakwater Falls which is quite a walk, maybe a half hour walk over mildly difficult terrain. You are treated great views of the dam, river and falls if you do go check it out. Really neat!
