I came across a downed tree (small) while riding in Washburn County, I stopped and removed the tree from the trail.
I wanted to remind everyone, we should be helping to keep the trails in tip top shape and even the smallest tasks, helps everyone using the trails, not just ohvers, as these are multi-use trails from mountain bikers to walkers, horse riders and more!
I have come across larger trees in the past and will, in the future purchase, a chain saw to help clean up when I run into these situations. Sometimes areas are impassable & I had to turn around and end my riding sessions, a chainsaw would be an amazing tool to have on my machine.
I have been noticing that when a tree does fall, people won’t stop and move it. Which leads to OHVers simply going around it, by going around the fallen tree, they are actually going off the trail which leads to damage of the surrounding area and is illegal.

Tree down in Arkansas on the trails…
By stopping to clean up when we can, we are eliminating that need to go around. It just takes a few minutes of your time and I promise you feel like you accomplished something, while having fun out on the trails.
