The Museum consists of three buildings, the water tower is viewable from anywhere in Manistique!

The third building on the museum property features several community fire dept. vehicles, one from 1883. Incredible history!

OHV Trail cuts right through the museum, making it a very easy stop!
The Imogene Herbert Historical Museum (Schoolcraft County Historical Society), located in the City of Manistque offers access to off-roaders via local road routes and is a very interesting stop, one that should be be experienced.

Plaques Along The Haywire Grade Trail…
The museum showcases the area’s rich history and kind of continues the experiences that I had, along the Haywire Grade Trail, if you remember in that article, I showed that the trail features plaques all along the route also showcasing the area history and information. Very neat to see. With this stop along the trails, you really can learn a ton of interesting facts!
This is one of my favorite trails for this reason, the plaques along the trails take you back in time.
This Historical Museum offers displays and information as well as accommodating rotating exhibits.

Another example of the community pride in Manistique. Fun to see…

Another of the three Historical buildings comprising the Museum.
