Paint River Hills Campground Is Located on the IRC Trail In Iron County, Michigan In The City Of Crystal Falls. The Campground offers 10 pull-thru sites (4 Full Hookups) and 18 additional water and electric sites throughout the 24 acre property on the north side of the community.

Paint River Hills campsites are all gravel pads, level and some offer views of the paint river. While the campground is in town, you wouldn’t know it, due to the thick vegetation.
Cabins also available…
The campground offers 5 fully insulated cabins for non-campers, as well.

The campground offers easy access to both the State trail (Corridor 2) & County Trail 16. Both are major east-west corridors in Iron County, leading to Watersmeet to the west and Iron river and beyond to the east.

The layout of Paint River Hills Campground is spectacular, offering fairly easy access for all sizes of rvs, including big rigs. Sites are large enough to accommodate rvs and ohvs as you can see with my site.
Here you can see the pull thru-sites, there is a slight down-ward slant to the campsites, but can easily be compensated for with your rv.

These pull-thru campsites are located toward the entrance of the campground for easier access, very nice.
Large open areas for campfires and gathering…
Sites are large, big enough to park your vehicles the way you want to without compromising.
Lots of room at each site to sprawl out…
Campfire wood is not available onsite at the time of writing, you will have to visit the Krist Convenience store or the Crystal Fresh Market Grocery Store in Cystal Falls for firewood,

Conclusion…
+ Beautifully maintained campground, great location for ohvers.
– Not much, Maybe the non-level full hook-up sites.
I must say, This campground is spectacular, the location is perfect for ohvers and the facilities are all kept up. While I can’t find much to say on the negative side, I do want to mention the full hook-up sites do have a slight angle to them. While not a deal breaker, it’s something to be aware of.
Also the road to the entrance to the campground is very steep, I ended up finding a different route while leaving the campground to avoid the strain on my pick up.
