The State Highway 61 Underpass Provides A Safe Route To The East Side Of Hwy 61, Black Beach Campground & Lake Superior!
The tunnel is fairly long for a two lane road, I believe it was made wider because there are additional turn lanes on the highway above.
This tunnel offers none of the safety improvements that the tunnel in Black River Falls, Wisconsin offers, such as, the lighting inside or the pedestrian signals, but it’s a start!
