The trails within Adams County are limited, there are roughly 32 miles of county trails (Corridor 33) and the Dyracuse Off-road Park Trails to ride. Seeing trails in this area, at all, is amazing. Adams County is a very touristy area, Some of you may have heard of Wisconsin Dells “Waterpark Capitol Of The World”, yeah, that Adams County.
You wouldn’t expect there to be off-road trails here, but there are! While somewhat desolate, there is more and more development in the county. Close to the center of the State of Wisconsin, Adams County is a easy drive for anyone and especially because it’s close to Interstate 94.
Such a small trail system, why go to Adams County?

As you know, my objective with this blog is to change the mentality around off-roading. So, the main way of doing this, is to document the attractions and sites along the trails.
This time, in Adams County, I wanted to feature a campground. Pineland Campground, one of the only campgrounds, in this heavily touristy area, to allow access for off-roaders. Something un-heard of in this area. Everyone else is focused on waterparks and kids activities and while Pineland is focused on that too, they also allow ohvers. Amazing! I will have a separate article about Pineland Campground.

The Trails…

The trails in Adams County are beautiful, offering rolling hills and lots of forest views. The trails are extremely sandy, to the point of being a detriment. My tires sank in the sand and this type of soil leads to excessive acceleration. I’m not a fan. This region is known for being sandy, but there needs to be some investment in the trails to make this a viable option for off-roaders.
There is not much to see along the trails because it’s so heavily forested and there are no attractions you can really get to without being on road routes that are fairly busy.
Corridor 33 is nice, it’s like a leisurely drive in the woods. It’s not bumpy at all due to the excessive amounts of sand but there’s not much to see due to the heavily forested county land, a trade-off I suppose.

Why go to Adams County for trail riding?

Normally, such a small trail system wouldn’t warrant my time, as I have “bigger fish to fry”… as the saying goes. It literally is, all because of the campground.
This campground is such an epic experience and you have the added benefit of trail riding! If you look at from that standpoint, it’s an overall amazing area to travel to and enjoy!
