White Mountain Madness 2025 Recap
September 5–7, 2025 | Hosted by UTV Offroad Adventures
This year’s White Mountain Madness was an unforgettable weekend packed with adventure, camaraderie, and stunning scenery! Based out of American Legion Post 30 in Springerville, AZ, the Legion provided the perfect home base for check-in, meals, and gathering before and after every ride. Nestled in northeastern Arizona, the White Mountains are a high-country paradise of pine forests, alpine lakes, and sweeping vistas that make it one of the most exciting offroad destinations in the Southwest.
Friday Night Kickoff
Riders rolled into Springerville buzzing with excitement, checked in at Post 30, and prepped their rigs for the adventures ahead. The energy was high as old friends reunited and new friendships were made.
Saturday Ride – 95 Miles of Thrills
Seventeen side-by-sides carrying 30 riders roared into the White Mountains offroad area, a playground of towering pines, lush meadows, and rugged trails. The route even dipped into New Mexico before looping back into Arizona, adding to the thrill of the day. The weather was absolutely perfect, with cool mountain air and temperatures in the low 70s.
Highlights included:
- Spotting herds of elk, deer, turkeys, cows, and countless birds
- Exploring the Sipe White Mountain Wildlife Area and historic Scout Cabin
- Lunch in the charming town of Alpine
- Breathtaking views at the Nutrioso Overlook
- Trail challenges featuring sprinkles, puddles, and glistening dew on the trees
Almost at the end of the ride, one SXS suffered a broken front ball joint. In true off-roader spirit, the group rallied together, installed a spare part on the trail, and got the machine rolling again.
Saturday Evening – Dinner, Celebrations, Sponsors & Awards
Back at Post 30, the action continued with dinner, raffles, awards, and plenty of laughs:
- Two birthdays were celebrated, complete with cake
- A special wedding anniversary was recognized, with the couple joyfully dancing to their song
- UTV Offroad Adventures thanked the amazing sponsors and gave away many prizes
- The Poker Run winner generously donated their winnings, and together with proceeds from UTV Offroad Adventures, the money was donated to the American Legion Post 30 — a true show of community support
- Farthest Traveler came all the way from Orange County, CA
- Oldest Rider, at 72, proved adventure has no age limit
- The hilarious Dumb Ass Award went to Brian for accidentally putting his SXS in reverse and bumping into another (good laughs all around)
It was a night full of laughter, generosity, and community spirit.
Sunday Ride – 85 Miles of Adventure
Sunday brought another perfect day of riding through the White Mountains:
- A scenic lakeside lunch stop at Big Lake
- Trail riding from Butler Trailhead into Greer, with sweeping views
- A pit stop at the iconic Molly Butler’s in Greer
- Taking in the most beautiful running creek on the trail, a peaceful highlight of the day
The combination of crisp air, lush forests, and incredible mountain landscapes made this ride one to remember.
Farewell
By Sunday afternoon, riders were tired but smiling, their hearts full from a weekend of epic trails, perfect weather, and great company. Huge thanks to everyone who joined, to American Legion Post 30 for their incredible support, and to the beautiful White Mountains offroad area for delivering a backdrop of pure adventure.
Adventure, teamwork, and unforgettable scenery — this is UTV Offroad Adventures at its finest.
