Jack Pine Campground is located in the Hiwatha National Forest in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The Campground On The North Side Of Schoolcraft County, Almost Midway Between Manistique & Munising. Great Day Trips, On The Haywire Either North Bound Or South Bound. This is my pick for the campground of the year for several reasons…
- Located on the beautifully maintained corridor 41 (Haywire Grade Trail)!
- Spacious sites
- Impressively Fast Internet
- Maintenance, Crews were busy maintaining the driveways while here.
- Location Relative To Communities In The Area
- Everything On-site, A Restaurant, Camp Store, Clean Restrooms & More!
- Fuel For Sale On-site For Off-roaders
The two campgrounds that I put against each other this year…
Paint River Hills Campground & Jack Pine Campground both are excellent places to stay, but the maintainence was the deciding factor. I love to see when things are maintained so well and not that they weren’t at Paint River Hills, it’s just different when you can see it in front of you while staying at a campground.
